Super Bowl 46: Pizza Bites(Vegetarian)


Easy mini pizza bites great for that television induced hand-n-mouth disease we all get during a good football game.


Ingredients:
-Sliced Bread(each slice makes 4 bites)
-String Cheese(Ration one stick of string cheese per slice of bread)
-Cheap Pasta Sauce(if you open the pasta jar you only need a little bit, save for pasta for dinner during the week)

Equipment:
-Paring Knife
-Spoon(or fingers)
-Toaster(optional)
-Cookie Sheet
-Oven


1.Pre-heat oven to 400F.
2.Very lightly toast bread. If you dont have a toaster thats fine, your bites just wont be as crunchy.
3. Slice string cheese sticks into lil circle slices.

4. Cut toasted bread into squares, about 4 squares per slice of bread.(In the photos I used odd shaped bread so I cut off the ends to use with my hummus[next recipe])
5. Place bread squares on cookie sheet and spoon on about a teaspoon(if you have two spoons its the little one) of pasta sauce in the center of each.
6. Distribute the string cheese slices on top of the sauce.

7. Place cookie sheet in oven for 5-7 minutes depending on how well you want the cheese melted.

8. Place on paper plate and stuff face.

MICROWAVE:
Prepare on microwave safe plate and microwave for 2-3 minutes depending on preferred cheese melt. Continue to stuff face.
